How do I upload media?
Uploading media on Jamabi is easy.
Step 1: Click on Upload Media in the navigation bar

Step 2: Select the type of media you are uploading from the list of options (Video File or Audio File)

Step 3: Fill out the media information form (including media category) and click “Upload Video”.

Step 4: Congratulations! Your media has been uploaded. To use it to sell a product, promote a cause or gather leads, you will need to associate it with a product.
On this screen you can choose to associate it with a product you’ve already created, create a new product for this media file or do nothing.

Regardless what you choose, your media has been uploaded and can be found from under My Media in the My Jamabi menu.
How to I add a product to the market place?
Adding a product to the marketplace is easy.
Step 1: Click on Create Product in the navigation bar

Step 2: Select the product type you are creating from the list of options (Product for Sale, Cause for Donation, or Lead Generation).

Step 3: Choose appropriate form and click Select Form

Step 4: Complete the Information Form with the relevant information and click Create Product

Step 5: Congrats, your product has been created; but to add it to the marketplace, you must choose to associate it with a media file.
On this screen you can choose to associate it with a media file you’ve already uploaded, upload a new media file for this product, or do nothing.

Whichever you choose, your product has been created and can be found from the My Jamabi menu, under My Products.

How do I set up the media player to accept donations?
To set up the media player to accept donations, you simply start the "Create Product" process. but for type of product, choose “Cause for donations”.
Once you’ve associated a media file with that cause, the Jamabi Media player will automatically display a “Donate” button instead of a “Buy” button.

What product “form” is the right one for my product?
Jamabi currently offers several forms, depending on the different type of product you create. There is a generic for-sale form, a form for downloadable products, a form for cause-based donations, and a form for your lead generation campaigns. We will continue to add forms and welcome your suggestions as to which forms we should add next. Please note that all suggestions become the property of Jamabi.
How do I edit a product I've created?
Step 1: Click on My Jamabi in the main navigation bar. You will see a drop-down menu with a number of options.
Step 2: Under Manage Products, click the My Products link. This will take you to a page displaying the products that you have created.
Step 3: Click the Edit link that is located to the right of the product that you want to edit. This will take you to the Edit Product page
Step 4: Make your changes and click Update Product.
How do I delete a product I’ve created?
Step 1: Click on My Jamabi in the main navigation bar. You will see a drop-down menu with a number of options.
Step 2: Under Manage Products, click My Products. This will take you to a page displaying the products that you have created.
Step 3: Click the Delete link to the right of the product that you want to delete. This will take you to the Delete Product page.
Step 4: Click on Yes to confirm the product deletion.

Step 1: Click on My Jamabi in the main navigation bar. You will see a drop-down menu with a number of options.
Step 2: Under Manage Media, click the My Media link. This will take you to a page displaying the media that you have uploaded.
Step 3: Click the Edit link to the right of the media file that you want to edit. This will take you to the Edit Media Information page.
Step 4: Click the drop-down box to the right of the Categories field and select the new category for your video.
Step 5: Click Save Changes.

Step 2: Under Manage Media, click the My Media link. This will take you to a page displaying the media that you have uploaded.
Step 3: Click the Edit link to the right of the media file that you want to edit. This will take you to the Edit Media Information page.
Step 4: Make the changes you desire and click Save Changes.
How do I delete a video I’ve uploaded?
Step 1: Click the My Jamabi link in the main navigation bar. You will see a drop-down menu with a number of options.
Step 2: Under Manage Media, click the My Media link. This will take you to a page displaying the media that you have uploaded.
Step 3: Click the Delete link to the right of the media file that you want to delete. This will take you to the Delete Media page.
Step 4: Click Yes to confirm the video deletion.
What is the maximum file size I can upload?
Right now, the maximum file size that can be uploaded for viewing is 100MB. Files for sale and downloading can be up to 500 MB.
In the near future, we will introduce options for handling larger file sizes.
How do I embed the media player on other websites?
When you click the “Share” button on the media player, you will see many options to share the Jamabi Media player including, embedding, URL, email, and social networking.
Specific to embedding, select the HTML code under the option titled “Embed Code”, and simply add it to the HTML of a blog, webpage, social network, etc.
Can I embed the media player in an email?
Most email clients currently do not allow for direct embedding of media players in an email.
You can, however, include a static jpeg or animated gif of your video in an email. Clicking on the stand-in graphic will open the player in a stand-alone window overlaying the email.
You can also include the video’s URL in an email.
What are the fees for selling/fundraising through the media player?
From now through November 30, 2010 you can enjoy Jamabi commission-free!
Starting in December 2010, Jamabi will charge a sliding scale, based on the type and amount of transaction.
Are there any products I am not allowed to post?
Yes, Jamabi does not allow material that is illegal, pornographic, racist, defamatory or otherwise offensive. Please use your common sense and also see our Terms of Service for more details on what content is not allowed in the marketplace.
I posted a video on Jamabi. Does Jamabi own it?
If you post a video on Jamabi, we retain the right to incorporate it into our promotional materials, but Jamabi does not own your video.
Can I license Jamabi for my business?
Absolutely. To license the Jamabi Player, contact us at license@jamabi.com to discuss proposals.
How safe is it to buy & donate through your media player?
Shopping on Jamabi is easy and secure. We use PayPal to make purchasing simple and top-rated secure socket layer providers to make purchasing safe. At no point will your credit card or PayPal information reside on our servers.
So, you can rest assured that your transaction is fully secure when you shop or donate through the Jamabi player.
How do I know a non-profit on Jamabi is legitimate?
Jamabi requires each non-profit registering a video on Jamabi to provide its 501(c)3 registration number. Anyone can ask for money on Jamabi, but if you don’t see the words “Registered Non-Profit” on the video, it isn’t.
I bought something and didn’t get what I expected. What now?
Jamabi creates a marketplace for buyers and sellers. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact the seller. If the seller is not cooperative, let us know and we will investigate. We also recommend that, if necessary, create a dispute in paypal (for information on paypal’s dispute resolution, click here).
Additionally, we encourage buyers to rate sellers in the Comment section after completing a transaction.
